Blush pink and blue Polish Country Lodge Wedding

When I knocked on the Groom’s room door at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriot this Saturday past I was so excited! First, being my first wedding of 2017, I was just giddy and secondly, I’d actually never met my groom, Brent! I absolutely love meeting new people! He welcomed me in with my assistant and introduced us to his 4 boys that would be standing up for him while he and his bride Molly said their vows. This would be both the bride and groom’s second marriage and a blending of their children as well. A modern day Brady bunch was mentioned during their speeches at the reception!

The Big Day

The day itself was beautiful, but not without it’s little hiccups. Molly’s flowers weren’t delivered from her florist’s wholesaler in time for the wedding, but if you know Molly, nothing gets the best of her. She hightailed it around the city and gathered flowers herself and had them made into bouquets. She made her own beaded jewelry the morning of the wedding too, to go along with the beautiful Vera Wang necklace Brent gave to her to match her wedding set! While the challenges may have made someone else a little crazy, these two were focused on each other and the love they share. Their vows were beautiful and bought tears to Molly. One of the most special parts of the day was seeing the newlyweds watch all their children, 6 in total, sign their marriage certificate. They made it official as a family.

After taking family photos at the Lion’s Park in St. Albert, we arrived back at the Polish Country Lodge just in time to take a few more important photos for the bride and groom! The first being a photo of Brent’s siblings and their spouses and the second was a group shot of Molly and her work ladies! Molly and Brent have recently learned they’ll be relocating to the Calgary area from Brent’s job so this photo was especially important to Molly. These girls are an extension of her family!

The reception bought some lovely speeches from Molly’s daughters Kelsey and Kennedy and Brent’s son and best man Braedan. Molly’s brother who was visiting from Newfoundland preformed a super special ceremony during the reception as well. He made Brent an honorary Newfie by screeching him in! The guests got quite the chuckle out of that!
