Blair, Amanda and I headed to Blair’s hometown for this romantic Halkirk engagement session at Circle Square Ranch.

Their Story

Blair, a civil engineer tech, and Amanda, an office manager,  met while they were both living in Lethbridge and attending college. One of Amanda’s roommates was dating one of Blair’s roommates and they happened to all be at a college hangout listening to music and hit it off. That was 6 and a half years ago! Now these 2 make their home in Edmonton, where they are avid football and hockey fans. They love going to hole in the wall pubs and discovering local bands like Royal Foundry from Edmonton.

The Proposal

If you remember from Blair and Amanda’s sneak peek, here, Blair’s proposal had a video involved. The 2 little people Blair loves most in the world, his nephew and niece, were the stars and they ever so cutely asked Amanda to become their Auntie and marry Uncle Blair! He then read from a letter he had written to her asking her to spend the rest of his life with her, telling her she makes him a better person. What more could a girl want??!! Of course Amanda’s answer was yes and they are set to be married in Amanda’s hometown of Eatonia, Saskatchewan, this coming October.

The Photos

Circle Square Ranch in Halkirk never disappoints! The light is almost always golden and beautiful, the landscape is hilly and treed, with valleys and hoodoo-like walls. Bridges are scattered throughout the area. It’s just beautiful! We walked around the Ranch exploring and getting to know each other a little better. I loved Blair’s sarcasm and sense of humour, and Amanda’s easy going, sweet nature. We also spent some time in Blair’s parents’ greenhouse, Howe’s Greenhouse, and took some special shots of Amanda’s ring amongst the plants.
