There are so many beautiful parks in Stetter. West Stettler Park was one of the locations we chose for Kyler and Elizabeth’s engagement session. They absolutely love the outdoors, so having an outdoor session was definitely a priority!
I mentioned that Kyler and Elizabeth both have a love for the outdoors…they’re avid mountain bikers, love to ski and love to search the great outdoors for antlers and any other treasures they can find! Â They live in Stettler with their two fur babies, Daisy and Charlie. While we were hanging out during our session, I asked how they met and got told a funny story about how Elizabeth was pretty proactive in meeting Kyler! Apparently, he didn’t have a cell phone, so the only way she was going to be able to introduce herself to him and make an impression was to watch…and wait! She was finally able to make that introduction and the rest is history!
Kyler’s proposal was a sneaky one! He and Elizabeth went skiing over the holidays with her family, like they normally do every year. Little did they all know, there was something special going to happen! While at the top of a run, Elizabeth’s brother offered to take a photo of the couple. Then Kyler got down on one knee and asked Elizabeth to marry him! No one knew what he’d been planning at all! Elizabeth was so surprised! Of course the answer was yes! It’s so specially to incorporate something they love so much, the outdoors, into the proposal, the engagement session and their upcoming wedding.
We started our session at the Rotary Park Campground, hung out with Kyler and Elizabeth’s little family of fur babies and made our way to West Stettler Park. We tried all sorts of creative things, from using an old water bottle to shoot through, Kyler catapulting over Elizabeth while she calmly sat in the grass, using lights outside in the park, it was such a fun evening!
Leave Kyler and Elizabeth some love and well wishes!
These are so cute, and I live the shot through the bottle!!!
Thanks so much Candice! It’s always fun to try something new!!
