The Story

This family photo session was so much fun for me! I know as a photographer, almost every blog post starts like that, but in this case, it’s the honest to goodness truth! Sometimes, there’s a little extra connection that just makes the ‘job’ a little easier! This family and I definitely have that connection. Jolene and I have been pals since our 2 beautiful little girls started Junior Kindergarten together. They are inseparable. They had their first sleepovers with each other, never fight and just adore each other. Fast forward to this year and our two mischievous boys just completed their first year of Junior Kindergarten together too! We’ve grown a lot during these last few years as mamas to our families and watching Jolene with her children is inspiring to me. She’s patient, something I wish I could be more of, she’s kind, she’s stern, she’s loving…the list goes on and on! Her children adore her and so does her family. Her husband, Chad, only grumbled a little when he was told he had to stop seeding for photos! Now, as any farm wife will tell you,  that’s love!!

That brings me to our family photo session! Jolene’s mother Cindy has been wanting to get everyone together for family photos for quite awhile. We finally found a date that worked for everyone. With my kids in tow, we headed out to Chad and Jolene’s farm. The weather was beautiful, the sun was out, the mosquitoes were bearable. We had a ton of laughs…mostly at Chad’s expense and got some really great photos for this family! One of the most important photos to Cindy and Jolene was a generation photo. I love images like that! They are so wonderful to look back on!

As you can tell, we really did have a great time! These kids were quite the hams!!
