Hunting Themed Engagement Session

You know your engagement session is going to be a fun time when your couple asks if your vehicle has four wheel drive! Seriously!

Their Story

Christina and Blane’s engagement has been a long time coming! They’ve been together for years! 10 years!! After a surprise proposal on New Year’s Eve with help from their 5 year old son, Darcy, this happy family has been planning their wedding together! You can bet that it will be a great party with family and friends! They love to hunt, quad, mud bog, kayak, pretty much everything outdoorsy! Christina’s engagement ring follows that theme too and is a camouflage band!

The Country Location

Oh my goodness! Like I said, Blane asked me if my vehicle had four wheel drive before we headed out. And with good reason! We drove out of town towards the East and drove some more. Down gravel roads, through fields and fence lines until finally we got to what looked like the edge of the world! The flat prairie opened up like a secret world!! Down this steep rough path sat this little hunting cabin, in its own little world. The air was still, the sun peeking over the horizon. I was literally in awe! If you know me, there aren’t many times that I’ve actually been shocked into silence! I could go on and on about the beauty of this spot! Blane and Christina told me this spot was a family favourite and I can totally see why! I could tell how they felt about it, they were so relaxed and happy! Their joy for each other is so obvious! I was also so happy that they bought a little bit of their personalities into their session too! Blane is rarely seen without a hat, so it made so much sense for him to want to wear one in our photos! Including the antlers as a save the date was really personal to them too and goes right along with the hunting theme of our session! Camouflage ring, antlers, hunting cabin…so totally them! I love when couples include all these personal details!!
