When I first met Amanda and Blair for their engagement session they asked me if I’d be willing to drive to Saskatchewan to take their wedding photos. Amanda grew up in Eatonia and really wanted to get married in her hometown. This Eatonia Community Hall wedding was perfect for this couple. They both really just wanted a low key celebration! A room full of their friends and family, great music and libations! Mission accomplished! Kids filled the dance floor all night long, drinks flowed and stories (true or false) were shared!
This was truly a family affair! Blair’s mom made all the bouquets, an uncle deejayed the dance and a cousin made the most amazing cupcakes I’ve ever tasted! The ladies that catered the meal had all known Amanda since she was a little girl! Their wedding party was made up of family members and close friends. Our photos were taken at Amanda’s grandpa’s old farm! It was so nice to have all these connections!
From the Bride:
We loved everything about our day! Our ceremony was so relaxing and non-serious! Watching Zander (the ring bearer) get upset cause he couldn’t throw the flowers and Zoe (the flower girl) get upset because her flowers kept falling/blowing out of her basket. Blair and I also screwed up our vows on the same part and our guests all laughed like crazy! We just took the day as it came!
I’m so over the moon happy for you Amanda and Blair! Congratulations to you both!
Special thanks to Ashleigh of Ashleigh’s Impressions for making the road trip and second shooting for me!
