This classic and elegant Calgary wedding at the Valley Ridge Golf Club was easily one of my favourite weddings of my 2018 season! Not because the venue was beautiful or the details were so well thought out..but because of the people! Lindsay and I talked so regularly before the wedding that now that it’s over I miss her so darned much! She and Chuck are so down to Earth and wonderful!!
I’m so excited to show you my favourite photos from their wedding day!
Chuck and I met at University; we shared an office! We used to go for coffee and cookies.
Chuck proposed! Lindsay was kind of mad and didn’t want to go to the park for a walk with me (Chuck) and she wanted us to go to a pub instead. So I told her we needed to go to the park and get some exercise. I saw a quiet area off to the side of the trail, so we went to stand over there. And I said “let’s take a selfie”. Then, I put my arm on her left shoulder and held the camera with the right hoping that she would see the ring through the front facing camera. But she thought it was a bug on her shoulder instead. Finally she looked at it. In disbelief she said “Oh my god what”. So I took the picture and then said “will you marry me” and her response was “Ok”. Then we went to a pub.
You guys—–How can anyone not love them! They’re the cutest đ
Everything.
From the moment I woke up and excitedly talked to Chuck on the phone to toasting with Chuck and my Scottish family at 4am! The fun, loving vibe I felt the whole day is what really stands out the most for me. Not wanting the day to end, it honestly felt like a dream. Both sides of our families live quite far away from each other, so it was just amazing for Chuck and I to share our special day with everyone. The ceremony was so special and personal. Sharing some laughs with my dad walking down the aisle and holding hands with Chuck as we read our vows. And of course, the DANCING. Pretty sure I spent the whole night on the dance floor! The bottom of my dress was black at the end of the night.
The whole day was perfect, I didn’t want it to end!
Wow so that’s the dress, she looked so wonderful it made my heart drop. It was such a busy fun day and I wanted to share it with her…and when I saw her I thought finally you’re here with me. My beautiful bride.
Have a schedule for your day and send it to your bridal party and parents…that way they know what to expect and fewer questions you have to answer on your wedding day!
Get a good night sleep the night before your wedding!
Make sure you eat before photos and ceremony, and feed your bridal party!
Relax and don’t sweat the small stuff on your wedding day.
It’ll be your favourite day to date, take in every moment!

And now…the photos you’ve been waiting for!
If you read ONE thing one this post, make it this part….Chuck gave Linds this rock and this cute note!
Hahahah and this too because it’s awesome!
Get ready for some serious feels.
Lindsay’s Dad’s reaction to seeing her is beautiful, just like her reacting to her dad seeing her for the first time all ready to get given away!
Lindsay and Charles….you two are such an incredible pair, and your families are second to none. How lucky you are to not only gain a partner to face everything life will throw at you together, but to gain an amazing second family to be right there with you as well!

I’m so over the moon happy to know you both and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for you!
