The Tropical Proposal

When Jillian tapped Taylor on the shoulder at a jersey party while attending the University of Lethbridge, she had no idea that moment would change her future! When they travelled together to Bermuda this fall she was really hoping this would be the time he’d propose. They had packed their suitcases together though, so she was a little disappointed. There was no way he would have been able to sneak a ring past her. She put it in the back of her mind and got ready to enjoy their trip!

While going through the airport, Taylor took special care of his backpack, carrying it on his front even. He’d warned security what was in his bag and asked them to keep it quiet, just in case. He was ready to do this and wasn’t taking any chances that Jillian would find out before! He’d even called her parents and asked her father for permission to marry her beforehand, knowing how important that was to them.

The first night of the vacation, he called her out onto the balcony, overlooking the ocean. He said to her “You know I love you and you know I always will love you…” On one knee he asked Jillian to marry him with an opened ring box in his hand. She was beyond excited!!  He didn’t even get the chance to put the ring on her finger! She had that sparkler outta the box and on her finger so fast!! They spent the rest of the night facetiming and letting their loved ones know the good news!

The Winter Engagement

Jillian and Taylor’s beautiful winter engagement session took place at the River Bend Golf Club in Red Deer. It was definitely a chilly day but with warm beverages in hand from Starbucks, a caramel macchiato for Taylor and a latte for Jill, these two were game for anything! Originally we were supposed to have our session near their home, but the night before, all the snow disappeared in Cochrane! The solution was for the happy couple and their puggle, Pete, to head North to Jillian’s parents place in Red Deer. We’re so happy that we made this decision! The snow and hoarfrost is so beautiful at anytime, but with Jillian’s pop of red, it’s magical!!

We of course had to include Petey in some photos! He was very patient and very well behaved! He even gave his dad a few high fives!!
