Stephen Avenue Engagement Session | Ashley + Trevour

I met Trevour and Ashley through my sister and her husband. Ashley works with my sister, Megan, as a grade 5 French immersion teacher in Cochrane. Her fiancé Trevour works with my brother in law, Matt, at Brandt in Calgary. They’re getting married in Mexico in July! Hooray for hot weather and destination weddings! ~Did I mention I’m available for destination weddings? Lol!

I had to be in Calgary last weekend for the long awaited release of Pitch Perfect 2 a styled photoshoot with the lovely Chloe of Chloe Buie Photography and I’d been dying to get this couple back in front of my camera lens! We had taken photos months back just after I had started my business. Like many new business owners that are putting in the time and commitment to education, I felt like I had grown and had something more to offer. Ash and Trevour indulged me and off we went downtown to Stephen Avenue. The weather was a little iffy, but the sun gave us some beautiful light after a day of full of showers. What an adventure! My sister Megan was a fantastic assistant for me holding my reflector, guarding my camera equipment from the trolling panhandlers, you know, things all good assistants are required to do. Quite the experience I tell ya.

I’m so glad I was able to give Ashley a little more of an urban feel to her photos leading up to her wedding in July. I was absolutely ecstatic to find some cherry blossoms tucked away in a teeny corner park downtown too!!
