Last week I got the chance to photograph an In Home maternity session! But first, let’s back track a bit!
When Brittany texted me the morning after I photographed her wedding she said Jeremy and I can’t wait until we have kids so you can take photos of our family! Fast forward almost a year and I got another text! One that literally made me giddy! Brittany and Jeremy were starting that family!
Ok, back on track! When I got to their house just outside of Red Deer I was welcomed with open arms! First by Jer, who has to be one of my favourite grooms! He isn’t a warm and cuddly guy, nor is he super chatty, but when he has something to say, everyone stops to listen. For a few minutes he and I talked about Brittany’s pregnancy, work and his family and finally about finding out he was going to have a son when he was convinced he’d be holding a baby girl.
When Brittany came down the stairs I was so excited to see her and her little basketball of a belly! Everyone always says that pregnant women have this glow about them, and let me tell you, it’s a cliche for a reason. If you know Brittany, you know how lovely she is, but seeing her about to start a family, it’s like a light is shining in her!

The Nursery
I remember reading this book, I love you Through and Through by Bernadette Rossetti, over and OVER to my 2 kids so I was super excited to see that Brittany had chosen this book to be a part of her baby’s library!
Jeremy is an avid outdoorsman and to see the little touches of wildlife and nature in the nursery was so cute!
This little one isn’t even born yet and already has such a special place in my heart! He will for sure be Brittany and Jeremy’s greatest adventure.
