Robbie and Larissa’s small town summer wedding in Castor was such a beautiful day! The couple chose to have a first look before their ceremony and followed it with photos with the wedding party and their families!

Tell me how you met!

We met on Tinder! I was living in Camrose at the time and Robbie was in Coronation, but we had some mutual friends on the app. Before our first in person date at Boston Pizza in Stettler, I (Larissa) knew it would be my last first date.

I wanna know your proposal details! Who did the asking and how!?

Robbie got down on one knee and asked me to marry him on August 1, 2018 at the Alberta Legislature grounds in Edmonton following a wonderful supper at La Ronde. He asked my dad about 3 weeks before for his permission to marry his daughter. My dad’s initial response was “I didn’t think they still did that!”.

This one’s for the bride: Which moments stand out as the best from your wedding day?

For me it was walking down the aisle towards my handsome fiancé with my dad and seeing all our friends and family there to support Robbie and I in our journey as a married couple. Another was the speeches – they were both from the heart and hilarious! My sisters were able to tag-team/share the maid of honour speech and it had me and our guests both tearing up and laughing hysterically. We also had the opportunity before the ceremony, after family pictures, to just breathe, take some couple photos and prepare our hearts for our marriage ceremony.

Now the groom’s turn: Tell us what you thought when you saw your bride for the first time on your wedding day!

Stunning, beautiful, I am a super lucky man to get to marry this beautiful women.

Can you share any tips about planning a wedding to future couples getting married?

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Stick to your timeline and don’t be afraid to vocalize the importance of it with your vendors. Take some time before or after your ceremony to just breathe and prepare or reflect on the ceremony and the commitments you will or have made to each other.
