This blush and grey intimate wedding at the Big Red Barn in Lacombe was perfect! The crazy weather we’d been having in July held off while this happy couple was getting ready, all through their ceremony and through alllllll our photo time! Some especially special moments that stood out during the day were Madison’s mom getting to be the officiant at the wedding, Madison, Brandon and son snuggling after signing the official papers and Brandon being presented with Madison’s baby blanket during speeches! Moments like those are what memories are made of for sure!!
I hope you enjoy a look through Maddie and Brandon’s wedding day!
We met through our friends. One night one of my friends dragged me out to go drinking to Billy Bob’s and Lotus Night Club. That night Sam (our best man) dragged Brandon out for the night with him as well. Our two friends knew each other and we bumped into each other while at Billys. That’s when we all decided to have a few drinks together and head over to Lotus Night Club. I did not see or meet Brandon until we ran into each other in the smoker’s area of Lotus night club, both there just because our friends smoked but we didn’t…truly romantic…lol! But ever since then we have been inseparable.
Brandon booked a reservation at The Keg. After fussing with his jacket (grabbing the ring and trying to be secretive about it) we finally went inside. After having a huge dinner with dessert we ended up leaving the restaurant (he chickened out) and we went to Bower Ponds. We walked around the pond twice. I started to ask why we were walking around the pond so much. That’s when we walked onto the big bridge overlooking the fountain and he got down on one knee to ask me to marry him. You can take a walk down memory lane and see their Bower Ponds engagement session here!
The best moments for me were:
-Marrying my best best friend
-Our first dance
-The amazing food
-Beautiful slideshow
-Awesome limousine exit
– Seeing all of our friends and family from near and far together sharing this experience with us.
God damn she’s beautiful! I can’t believe someone like her picked me to marry. I am one lucky guy.
Plan ahead of time! I started a 1 1/2 years before and I was so happy I did. I was able to focus on the little things when the day came and it helped financially speaking.
Try to stay organized, I used a wedding app to store my budget and to create seating charts.
Have a book designated with who is invited in it with full names and addresses (this helped tremendously).
Lastly, don’t worry if something doesn’t go according to plan. Things never do and always seem to work out in the end, if not better.
Thanks so much Madison and Brandon for choosing me and including me in your special day! I hope it was everything you’ve dreamed of!
If you’re recently engaged or planning a wedding and you’d like to have a photographer that’ll take the stress away from the photo part of the day so you can just enjoy yourself, we should talk!
