It never fails that if you’re a farmer and you make plans, something goes wrong. It’s murphy’s law! The first time I was supposed to photograph the Twa family, there was a crazy wind storm that ripped the roof off their stock trailer. Needless to say, we rescheduled. This time, the cows and calves that the family had spent the whole day before sorting and weaning escaped. Down the highway escaped, not just got out. This amazing group pulled it together in no time flat, wrangled those cattle and put themselves back together and looked like a million bucks!
We travelled to a spot Kaylea had picked out overlooking some of the family’s land. What a view! We had a great time laughing and joking about sore knees, smarties as a bribery tool and new jeans!
