August 15th, 2015. The rain fell so hard all morning. I swear it poured from the heavens! Chloe and I drove to Galahad to photograph Kassia and Travis’s beautiful outdoor ceremony in the yard they had spent the whole spring and summer perfecting for this day. Unfortunately, we cannot control Mother Nature, and that day, she had other plans. Kassia and Travis quickly accepted this and changed their plans. Friends and family pitched in to give the happy couple a hand in preparing for their impromptu indoor ceremony at the Galahad Hall.
While there was no grass tickling their toes, no sunshine beaming down on them, no bees buzzing at the flowers Kassia had planted, there was love. Buckets of it. Travis and their son walked down the aisle together and as Kassia entered the ceremony space, all eyes were on her. Promising to spend the rest of their lives together, their voices hitched and tears fell. While it wasn’t exactly what they’d both envisioned, it was beautiful.
The rain cleared up just in time for us to head outside for some portraits. We even had some curious miniature donkeys trying to photo bomb us!
