Stettler engagement photographer {Esther + Craig}

It’s been quite the year for this cute couple! Almost 1 year ago to the day, Esther and Craig had their very first date. It’s hard when you live in a smaller center (Craig lives just outside of Slave Lake and Esther’s family lived in Erskine, both in Alberta.) to meet someone you feel a connection with. It’s even harder to meet someone that has the same beliefs, life goals and values you have. That’s where Christian Mingle, an online dating platform that helps connect people looking to date and marry within the Christian faith, made it a little easier for these two to find each other! They chatted online, moved on to lengthy phone conversations and eventually met in person! The connection was so strong that within a few months, Craig had proposed! And a few months later, Esther moved to Slave Lake when a job opportunity became available at a Christian School and rooms with the principal. Dating long distance wasn’t easy, so now living in the same town makes building a relationship that much easier!

They were so cute, so respectful of each other during our session! I mean, matching mittens! Matching! And hot cocoa! Esther giggling when Craig’s glasses fogged up from the hot cocoa steam, Craig just laughing when Esther didn’t blow a handful of snow, she threw it in his face instead! Their personalities compliment each others so well! I’m so excited to watch them marry each other and begin their life as husband and wife.
