When I met Jacqueline and Joshua at their engagement session they told me that they had booked the Lacombe Big Red Barn as their venue. I was so excited! We had visited Josh’s grandparent’s farm for our session, so I was excited they were keeping with the rustic theme!
The groom and his groomsmen spent the morning playing a round of golf, while the bride’s morning started off at Jacqueline’s parent’s house. Her favourite part of the morning was that she got to relax, didn’t have to go anywhere since hair and makeup came to her. She, her mom and her girls just for to drink their coffee and enjoy each other! There were a few moments, like Jaq’s mom tearing up after she pinned the veil on….it was so special. He dad seeing her for the first time all dressed up was beautiful too!!
Her groom even surprised her with a limo to drive her from Red Deer to the Lacombe Big Red Barn for the ceremony! The limo driver had a special package for her from Josh too- a diamond tennis bracelet in a box he had made!
Another favourite moment of Jaq’s was walking down the aisle with her dad. He joked with her while they both tried to hold back their tears. Josh says watching her walk down the aisle was one of his favourite moments, she looked absolutely stunning. His vows made her choke up and laugh all at the same time. He was the sweetest, and so thoughtful.
The wedding party was fantastic and when we entered the barn after photos, the energy was so great! There was great food, followed up by some amazing heartfelt speeches and such a great party!! Instead of a traditional garter toss, Jaq arranged to have Josh ‘iced’ and he LOVED it! Even though the joke was on him, it was another of his favourite moments!!
One of the most entertaining moments of the night came right before I was set to leave. The entire group of groomsmen and our rad groom Josh choreographed a kick ass dance to a medley of Jacqueline’s favourite hits from growing up!! It. Was. Epic. And definitely another moment that stands out as a favourite for everyone!! That really got the party off to a great start!! The Big Red Barn didn’t shut down until well after the bride and groom had left!
Jacqueline’s dress, from Novia Mia and her veil were just stunning! She loved the way it bustled after the ceremony!!
Some advice from our beautiful bride:
Enjoy your day, it actually really does fly by…and don’t wear heels! Don’t stress about anything, at the end of the day your new hubby and you will be the only ones who kew what did or didn’t get done, what went wrong and what didn’t. Designate one or two people to deal with any issues the day of…then tell them NOT to tell you about it! Lol! And, you know what, it’s okay to feel a little sad that you’re not a bride anymore ❤️
Thank you for choosing me Jacqueline and Josh. I felt like a part of your families all day long and was brought to tears numerous times. Your love lights up a room and fills us all with joy! I wish you every bit of love, health and happiness that this world has to offer you.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Loney ❤️
